Brief artist bio
Ron is inspired by the natural beauty of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The whale migration up and down the Australian east coast is a magnificent event and Ron decided to capture that moment with a raku sculpture. On completion, a friend said it reminded her of Migaloo, the white whale, so it was named. This sculpture was chosen as one of 25 small sculpture pieces for the recent 2016 Warringah Art Prize.
Ron is a currently studying ceramics at The Northern Sydney Institute (TAFE) in Brookvale.
